As a husband-and-wife founding team, Amber & Ryan bring 15 years of successful partnership and problem-solving to The A Team IT Services.

The story started in 2011 on the Texas State University shuttle commuting between Austin and San Marcos. While Amber pursued a degree in Special Education—honing skills in patience, individualized solutions and Federal compliance—Ryan was building a professional foundation in IT Engineering and Cybersecurity.

Ryan's extensive background in managing and scaling IT infrastructure for all types of clients gives us the deep technical expertise needed to handle everything from complex cloud migrations to daily server support. This combination of individualized care and technical mastery drives our commitment to finding effective, client-focused solutions.

Our move to Vermont to launch The A Team IT Services is the culmination of years of collaborative planning. Having grown up in the woods of Connecticut, Ryan has long dreamed of returning to New England. This transition allows us to dedicate our combined skills to serving clients in a location that feels like home, combining the pace and expertise of urban tech with the thoughtful and loving community of Vermont.

Ryan: Technical Architecture & Strategic Cybersecurity

While attending Texas State University, Ryan began his professional journey as a Tier 1 Helpdesk Engineer in Austin. Over the next 15+ years, he mastered the full spectrum of the Managed Services (MSP) landscape, evolving through senior roles as a Technical Account Manager, System Administrator, and Sales Engineer.

Most recently, Ryan spent over five years as a Senior Customer Success Engineer for multiple international cybersecurity startups—including Censys—where he specialized in engineering the digital security modern organizations require. His experience securing the assets of everything from local family businesses to the State of Texas as well as his experience working with both national and foreign governmental "three letter" agencies provides the foundation for our "Power-On" strategies. Today, Ryan leverages this diverse background to ensure that every client’s transition into an AI-integrated enterprise is built on a rock-solid, secure, and permanent foundation.

Amber: Compliance Leadership & Professional Training

Amber bridges the gap between high-level operations and practical, classroom-tested learning. By leveraging her degree in education and extensive knowledge of learning theory and compliance navigation, she builds and leads the specialized training initiatives and curricula that serve as the foundation of our client partnerships.

After a career in Special Education, Amber transitioned into the corporate world, gaining deep operational and compliance experience within the FinTech and Insurtech industries. Today, she leads our Strategic Training and Compliance initiatives, turning technical complexity into a competitive advantage for our clients' teams. Her time spent as a local Austin Office Manager ensures that she approaches every project with a comprehensive understanding of small business operations, financial health, and the daily realities of the modern workplace.

While Ryan and Amber currently form the core of our daily operations, our capabilities are significantly amplified by a trusted network of Senior IT Engineers.
