As a husband-and-wife founding team, Amber and Ryan bring over 15 years of successful partnership and problem-solving to The A Team IT Services.
The story started in 2011 on the Texas State University shuttle commuting between Austin and San Marcos. While Amber pursued a degree in Special Education—honing critical skills in learning theory, individualized solutions, and strict federal compliance—Ryan was building a structural foundation in enterprise-grade IT engineering and cybersecurity.

Our move to Vermont to launch The A Team IT Services is the culmination of years of collaborative planning. Having grown up in the woods of Connecticut, Ryan has long dreamed of returning to New England. This transition allows us to dedicate our combined skills to serving commercial entities across the Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts tri-state area. We are proud to combine the pace and precision of elite urban tech with the thoughtful, resilient community of New England.

While attending Texas State University, Ryan began his professional journey as an IT Technician in Austin. Over the next 15+ years, he mastered the full spectrum of the Managed IT Services (MSP) landscape. During his tenure at Vintage IT Services and LDR, he evolved through senior, high-impact roles—including Systems Administrator, Technical Account Manager, and Senior Sales Engineer—where he architected hardware and network solutions for scores of accounts and successfully delivered cloud services to the State of Texas (DIR).
Transitioning into the elite cybersecurity space, Ryan spent years acting as a trusted advisor and the final technical escalation point for global enterprises. He founded and led the Customer Success team at VulnCheck and drove high-touch technical adoption at international threat intelligence firms like Censys and Cyren.
Today, Ryan leverages this deep background to ensure that every client’s transition into an AI-integrated enterprise is both secure and filled with operational knowledge.

- Rigorous Security Standards: Direct experience acting as a trusted technical advisor for both national and foreign governmental "three-letter" agencies to design, enforce, and support robust digital defense strategies.
Amber: Compliance Leadership & Professional Training
Amber bridges the gap between high-level operations and practical, classroom-tested learning. By leveraging her extensive background in education, learning theory, and corporate compliance, she builds and leads the specialized training initiatives that serve as the foundation of our client partnerships.
After a successful career in Special Education—where she built specialized curricula from the ground up and enforced strict legal compliance—Amber transitioned into the corporate world. Gaining deep operational experience within the Insurtech industry and acting as a local Austin Office Manager, she intimately understands the daily realities, financial health, and operational friction of modern businesses.
Today, she leads our Strategic Training and Compliance initiatives, turning technical complexity into a competitive advantage for our clients' teams through:
- Educational Leadership & Curriculum Design: Over seven years of experience as a Professional Educator, including establishing a new Special Education Unit for a Texas school district. She specializes in designing individualized curricula, managing complex compliance cases (IEPs), and reliably boosting performance metrics by 80%.
- Corporate Compliance & Insurtech Expertise: Earned the Small Business Coverage Specialist designation through the Hartford School of Insurance during her tenure at NEXT Insurance, where she successfully piloted complex Workers Compensation projects and drove heavy customer education and outreach.
- Business Operations: Direct experience managing the full lifecycle of business operations, from B2B vendor relationship management and website build-outs to purchase order lifecycles, ensuring every training initiative aligns perfectly with the practical needs of a growing business.
