Meet the Founders: Amber & Ryan
As a husband-and-wife founding team, we bring 15 years of successful partnership and problem-solving to The A Team IT Services.
Our story started in 2011 on the Texas State University shuttle commuting between Austin and San Marcos. While Amber pursued a degree in Special Education—honing skills in empathy, patience, and individualized solutions—Ryan was building a professional foundation in IT Engineering and Cybersecurity.
Ryan's extensive background in managing and scaling IT infrastructure for all types of clients gives us the deep technical expertise needed to handle everything from complex cloud migrations to daily server support. This combination of individualized care and technical mastery drives our commitment to finding effective, client-focused solutions.
Our Collective Experience
Ryan's Technical Expertise
While attending Texas State University, Ryan began his professional journey as a Tier 1 Helpdesk Engineer in Austin to help fund his education. Over the next 15+ years, his experience grew across the entire Managed Services Provider (MSP) space, serving in roles such as Technical Account Manager, Senior System Administrator, and Senior Sales Engineer. Most recently, Ryan spent over five years as a Senior Customer Success Engineer for multiple international cybersecurity startups. His client experience spans from small, family-owned businesses to the State of Texas and various national and foreign governmental agencies.
Amber's Operational & Financial Acumen
After successfully teaching Special Education for several years, Amber transitioned her focus to the corporate world, gaining valuable operational and compliance experience in the Financial (FinTech) and Insurance (Insurtech) industries. She has also served as an Office Manager for a locally owned company in Austin, bringing a comprehensive understanding of small business operations and financial management.
A New Chapter in Vermont
Our move to Vermont to launch The A Team IT Services is the culmination of years of collaborative planning. Having grown up in Connecticut, Ryan has long dreamed of returning to New England. This transition allows us to dedicate our combined skills to serving clients in a location that feels like home, combining the pace of urban tech with the thoughtful and loving community of Vermont.

While Ryan and Amber currently form the core of our daily operations, our capabilities are significantly amplified by a trusted network of Senior IT Engineers. This team consists of Ryan’s closest friends and former colleagues— Andrzej, Brian and Mikey —who collectively bring an additional 40 plus years of deep Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience to our clients.
